“ Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, who died on the cross of all people and rose from the dead. Please forgive my sins and come into my heart with the Holy Spirit. Amen”
El Roi — The God Who Sees Me
“You are the God who sees me.”
Genesis 16:13
In the Bible, there is a woman named Hagar.
Hagar was not perfect.
She was difficult.
She acted superior.
She struggled with pride and pain at the same time.
Sarah became angry with her and threw her out.
Hagar was sent away into the wilderness alone, pregnant, rejected, and afraid.
And that is where God met her.
God did not wait for Hagar to behave better.
God did not abandon her because she was complicated or messy.
God did not withdraw His love because she was difficult.
God saw her anyway.
God spoke to her.
God comforted her.
God promised her a future.
Hagar realized something powerful and gave God a name:
El Roi — The God Who Sees Me.
This same God sees you.
He sees you even when you are struggling.
He sees you even when others have had enough.
He sees you even when you feel like you’ve messed things up.
Your circumstances are not proof of God’s love or lack of it.
Hard places do not mean God has left you.
Being rejected by people does not mean you are rejected by God.
You are seen.
You are known.
You are not alone.
A Prayer
God,
I come to You just as I am.
I know I am not perfect, but I want You in my life.
Thank You for seeing me, even when others do not.
Please forgive me, guide me, and walk with me.
I invite You into my heart and my life today.
Amen.
You are seen.
You are loved.
Always.
